The voices of our families

We are lucky to benefit from the active support from families who have accessed our services. We benefit from their insight through regular opportunities to feedback within service; but also in an ongoing advisory capacity, if they wish to become a part of our advisory board.

On this page you will find a variety of feedback from over the years.

“I just found it so useful. The way you described things has been more helpful than anything I’ve ever done before.”

“The advice you have given has been different and the best we’ve ever received.”

“This support has been so useful. It’s been amazing, it’s really changed my relationship with my son.”

“It has been life changing. I now have a sense of peace and I feel strong. Our relationship is now stronger and we feel more connected.”

“It was really nice and really helpful. Before I was worried about behaviours, but now I have a better understanding of how children feel in these circumstances. It has changed something in me and in him. Our relationship is more relaxed and we’ve been able to have conversations we’ve never had before.”

“Dad: Today’s session has really helped me. It has not been generic parenting support – we’ve had that – but advice that’s really about our child and how we can meet his needs.

Mum: You’ve really put [child] at the heart of our discussions. We’ve had loads of support before, but not like this. It’s all we’ve ever wanted.”

“We’d love there to be more sessions. Can you move in? [joke]. We got a lot out of the sessions, especially considering there were just three sessions. We’ve had Early Help twice, Family Lives [parenting course] and they were all focussed on putting in boundaries and punishing. You’ve really understood our child’s underlying needs, and what’s going on for him underneath – it’s all we’ve ever wanted. It’s premptive, and looks at the prevention not just the cure.”

“You managed to work out what’s going on for [child] quicker than anyone else and we’ve done a lot of therapy and had lots of support. You understood his needs in the first session. We did NVR, and that was no where near as helpful depite that being five sessions. The advice you gave was was really helpful, simple and practical – and just things that made a lot of sense.”
