Get Involved

As a Community Interest Company (CIC) we rely on funding and donations to continue offering the services that we do. In 2023 we were incredibly lucky to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund (read our press release) which will allow us to offer support sessions for families and training for professionals for a further three years. But the more families who need our help the more funding we need to find.

We’d appreciate any amount, no matter how small – because every penny really does help us continue to ensure families can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment, with the right help.

Here’s what else we’d love to achieve:

Capa First Icon

Hire and Train more practitioners to join our team so that we can help families faster

Capa First Icon

Provide more resources for parents, before, during and after using our services

Create more online, self paced training that is CPD certified

You can donate directly:

Where would your money go? For every £30 donated you’d be paying for an advice and support session, for £100 you could potentially be covering the costs of all the sessions a family needs.  Just £10 would keep our website up and running for a month.

We’d appreciate any amount, no matter how small – because every penny really does help us continue to ensure families can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment, with the right help.

Get Involved & Help Support the Capa Community

We are looking for parents and carers with lived experience of child-to-parent aggression and harmful behaviour who would like to help support and develop our peer community.

There will be opportunities to become involved in helping to run welcoming peer-support groups, alongside the guidance and ongoing support of experienced Capa practitioners. You do not need any previous volunteering or group-facilitation experience training, support and clear boundaries will be provided.

Your experience, understanding and insight could help other parents and carers feel less isolated, more connected and better understood. You can be involved in a way that feels comfortable and manageable for you, with no expectation to share personal experiences beyond what you choose.

If you are interested in giving something back, supporting other families and helping us build a compassionate community where parents and carers can connect and learn from one another, we would love to hear from you.

Share your experience. Support others. Help build a community that understands.

If you would like to join us in making big changes for families email info@capafirstresponse.org

    Spread the word!

You can share this QR code with anyone who may need our services, or to find out more about Capa, right click to save & share it.

We have a flyer and a poster available below that you can download to print and share on your community notice boards, children & family centres, libraries, GP surgeries and community centres. Spreading the word means that more people will be aware of ‘Child to Parent Abuse’ and will hopefully then be more willing to talk about it with families who are experiencing it. We want to end the stigma and we need your help to do this!
