Parent/Carer workshops & training
Parent/Carer Workshops
Our specialist online workshops provide parents and carers with a deeper understanding of child-to-parent aggression and harmful behaviour, what may be happening beneath the behaviour, and how to respond in ways that increase safety and strengthen relationships.
Using Capa’s relational, non-blaming S.N.A.P. approach, our experienced practitioners combine research, practical strategies and opportunities for reflection and shared learning. Workshops explore the possible drivers of behaviour, emotional regulation, communication, patterns within family relationships, safety and practical ways to support positive and lasting change.
Our workshops provide a warm, supportive and confidential space where families can connect with others who understand. There is no pressure to share personal experiences—you are welcome to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
Workshops are suitable for parents and carers of children and young people up to the age of 18, and up to 25 where there is diagnosed or suspected neurodivergence.
Understand what is happening. Develop practical strategies. Build confidence. Create change.
“I wanted to email hot on the heels of this weekend’s workshop, to reiterate how validating, reassuring and empowering it felt, thank you.”
“It was so lovely to be in a group of seemingly, like-minded, caring parents, who all just want what’s best for their child – and family unit – but are struggling to know how to get there. The warmth, care, validation and strategies that you offered were not things that I have heard anywhere else and it was so greatly appreciated. With huge thanks for everything you do.”
Self-Paced Learning Course – Coming Soon
We are developing a new online self-paced learning course to help parents and carers better understand child-to-parent aggression and harmful behaviour and explore practical strategies at a time and pace that works for their family.
Drawing on Capa’s relational, non-blaming S.N.A.P. approach, the course will explore what may be happening beneath the behaviour, the factors that can contribute to aggression and harmful behaviour, emotional regulation, communication, safety and ways to strengthen family relationships.
Through accessible learning modules, practical tools, reflective activities and downloadable resources, parents and carers will be able to build their understanding, confidence and skills from home. You can work through the course in your own time, revisit sections when needed and focus on the areas most relevant to your family.
The course is designed to complement Capa’s wider support pathways, providing flexible access to specialist information for families wherever they live.
Learn in your own time. Build understanding. Develop practical strategies. Create positive change.
