The Capa Podcast

Listen to our podcast on Spotify, Amazon Music, iTunes  and Youtube.

Part of our mission statement  is ‘to raise awareness amongst families and professionals around children/adolescents who use harmful and/or aggressive behaviour towards a parent/carer.’  What better way to do this than by sharing conversations with Jane our founder and Matt our Senior Practitioner.

Each episode will be a useful listen whether you are a parent experiencing these behaviours in your family, or someone who works professionally with children/families. They’re not designed to solve all your problems (we wish this was simple as releasing a podcast!) but for you to hear conversations with people who support families who are experiencing CAPA.

Our first season covers topics such as  education and school refusal, siblings, neurodiversity and more with Jane and Matt joined by  Helen Bonnick, our patron who has (literally!) written a book about ‘CAPVA’.

Season 2 (which you can watch as well as listen to) is a closer look at some strategies and resources we use in our work that families can try themselves, covering topics around validation, safety planning and other important areas. Season 2 is funded by East Sussex County Council, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.

Our third season will be just around the corner ‘Conversations with Capa’- make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!

You can listen to our podcast on Spotify, Amazon Music, iTunes  as well as on Youtube.

As we release each episode you’ll find a blog post with an overview of the episode topic below and you can listen (or watch, for season 2) and at the bottom of this page there’s a video from Matt explaining how the podcast came about.
