Lived Experience Advisory Group

The voices and experiences of families are central to how Capa grows and develops. Our Lived Experience Advisory Group provides an opportunity for parents and carers with experience of child-to-parent aggression and harmful behaviour to help shape our community, services and future direction.

We want to hear what support you needed, what made a difference, where gaps still exist and what you would like to see available for families in the future. By sharing your experiences, ideas and perspectives, you can help us develop services that are accessible, relevant and responsive to the realities families face.

The group will look beyond Capa’s direct services and contribute to the wider picture helping to inform professional practice, policy, research and greater understanding of child-to-parent aggression. There may also be opportunities to review resources, contribute to new projects, support awareness-raising and help create better pathways for families and professionals.

You do not need any previous volunteering or advisory experience. We recognise that everyone’s experience is different, and there is no expectation to share anything you are not comfortable discussing. Your insight can help others feel heard, understood and better supported.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to use their experience to give something back, influence meaningful change and help shape the future of Capa and the wider response to child-to-parent aggression.

Share your experience. Shape future support. Influence wider change.
