5 Years of Capa: Help Us Continue Supporting Families in Crisis

This year, Capa First Response celebrates five years of supporting families impacted by child against parent aggression and/or harmful behaviours (CAVPA). Since we started, we’ve supported hundreds of parents and carers with free access to strategy sessions, drop-ins, groups, and one-to-one support. But while our services remain free to families, they’re not free to deliver. In the past 12 months alone, we’ve seen a 99% increase in requests for help. More families than ever are reaching out in desperation and we want to ensure every single family gets the support they deserve and need.

That’s why we’re launching a special appeal:

🎉 To mark 5 years of Capa, we’re asking our community to donate £5, more if you can.

Here’s what your generosity helps us do:

  • £75 supports a family through 3 one-to-one support and strategy sessions
  • £60 runs an online drop-in for up to 50 parents/carers
  • Your donations also help us create new resources, podcasts, and accessible tools for families who may be unable to join us live

We’re incredibly grateful for the funding we receive from partners like the National Lottery Community Fund and other organisations but with rising demand, we now need help from our wider community, too.

Perhaps you’ve been affected by these behaviours from a child towards a parent or carer in your family, and we supported you? Maybe you haven’t had this experience, but  just take a couple of minutes to think about what your family’s life would be like if you did – worry, upset, fear of being hurt, feeling helpless to know what to do. We don’t want ANY family to go through this, and we really need your help to be able to help all the families that need it.

Every pound you give helps ensure that no parent has to walk this path alone.

💚Click to Donate today.

If you would prefer to donate via paypal please enter ‘5for5’ as the reference so we are able to add it to our target.

A sincere thank you, from all of us at Capa First Response.
